So Becki and I went and took Gizmo the pooch to Virginia Waters for a good walk yesterday.
The Lake is huge and we only managed to walk halfway around its banks.
It's a beautiful place full of natural and man made features, and was also used as a set in some of the recent Harry Potter films.
Becki admires some of the Roman ruins!
The original cascade was destroyed in 1768 when the causeway collapsed. A new cascade was built when the lake was enlarged by George III in the 1780s.
It was a good day all in all and Gizmo was pretty zonked and fell asleep on the journey home!
